DIY Sharpie Stained Fabric Markers - Custom Knickers

All you need for this little DIY is some fabric and a pack of these Sharpie Stained Fabric Markers - they're available all over the place, or you can buy them online from the Sharpie website here.

I used a ruler and candle holder to measure my patterns and shapes out. I found it best to wait until the black was completely dry (only a few minutes) before adding colour, to avoid any mucky grey bleeding. The markers dry really well and don't seem to bleed once dry - so if you're thinking of blending like I did below - make sure you do it while its all still wet.

With all that psychedelic amazingness happening on my ass, I figured I needed to do something just as cool in the front, so went with a pattern similar to one that appears in my Borrowed & Blue CD Artwork [get that on iTunes here]. And to top it off, some words I like to attack each day of this magical life with...

Live Wild. Be Free.

A little spin on the Henry David Thoreau quote [all good things are wild and free] which I came across and adopted thanks to this inspiring little lass who's making waves in all creativeness with her Wild & Free Jewelry.

And there you have it - a wild a creative attack on a pair of tighty-whities.
Hope you have fun with your Sharpie Stained Fabric Markers - I think I'll try a tank top next...

Please link to me if you try this out - I'd love to see your creations!
